27 Weeks!!

Hello all!! Hope this finds you all well!! We are wonderful!! This was a great weekend for Greg and the boys. Landon had his second t-ball game and actually played outfield this week!! He hit another double and knocked down a line drive to make an out at first! I think we have a ball player on our hands! On Sunday, Greg took the boys to the final Braves home game. They had a ball and Landon is sure the whole reason they won and Jeff Francoeur did so well was because he was cheering extra loud! I told him I thought he was probably right! The photo is of them doing the wave...that was super fun for them! Before the game they actually got to go down on the warning track for a little while and the ushers were handing out dumdum lollipops...does it get any better?

Today was my 27 week ultrasound with the perinatalogist...I was a little worried just because I did take two 30 minutes wheelchair rides outside to get some fresh air this weekend. That, by the way, was sooo nice!! I really miss being out in the fresh air. Anywhoo, we had another wonderful report...I measured 40mm and the baby's amniotic fluid looks good, so my doctors are very positive. We are so thrilled!

So, on my recruiting front...My friend Lynda was sent home today...her blood pressure and platelet count are holding steady so she is home to continue bed rest. Please keep her and the twins in your prayers. Turns out I know someone else on the floor in a kind of round about way. Renee is 24 weeks and her water broke at 21...The body can actually replentish amniotic fluid so we are hoping that is the case with her. Please pray that she is able to carry the baby to at least 30 weeks without infection and that God will provide peace and comfort to her and her husband and 4 children who are at home. And one more please...one of my dear friends Amy put me in touch with her roommate from college who is due December 24th. She has placenta previa and is on strict bed rest at home. Please pray that her placenta will stay in tact and that she will be able to carry the baby to a healthy number of weeks (between the two of us, I think we are hoping and praying for early December). It is possible...as we have seen...God can do ANYTHING! I just figured since your prayers have been so effective for me and our family, maybe it would be nice to offer up some prayers for these three and their babies. Thank you so much for your continued concern for us and our family. We are so appreciative and thankful for you!

Love, Kristen and the Powell fellas!
