More prayers needed please!

Well, this day has been a bit of a roller coaster. We are fine, the boys and Greg are fine, P3 is fine and I am fine, but I am writing to ask for some fervent prayers on behalf of Renee, who I mentioned previously. Back story is, Renee was a surrogate for a couple that Greg and I have known for a couple of years. I ran into the husband just Sunday and he shared with me the fact that their surrogate was here on bed rest because of a ruptured amniotic sac at 21 weeks and they were hoping to keep the baby in utero for as long as possible. Last night Renee gave birth to their son at 24weeks5days. I am asking that you pray continuously for this precious, tiny child who is so loved and wanted. Obviously, he is quite small and though he had the steroids for his lung development, he is intibated and on complete support for breathing. Please pray that God will miraculously heal his little lungs and strengthen his tiny body to fight a great fight and be a great testimony to the power and strength of our great and loving God. Please also pray for Amy and Todd...dear people who only desire to be great parents to their sweet boy. Please pray for them to have peace during this time of unknowns. The NICU doctors here are the best around-so knowledgeable and thankfully, Amy shared that the doctor who has been working with them has been so kind and compassionate and willing to answer questions. Please pray God blesses the doctors, nurses and the work of their hands that they are able to give baby Jacob the best possible care and opportunity to heal, grow and thrive. God can do that. We must ask boldly if it is His will, that He will provide yet another miracle. Lastly, I ask that you pray for Renee. I do not know her, nor do I know how she is doing, only that physically she is recovering from her c-section surgery, but I have had 2 babies now and remember vividly the rush of hormones that follows delivery. Even holding my healthy babies there were wild emotions that I never expected and I can only imagine that she is dealing with that and more. Please pray that God protects her from negative thoughts and for all of them - Renee, Amy and Todd - that they have people to rise up around them to encourage and love on them. We don't always understand why things happen as they do...but what we do know is that God does. The hope we have, and the promise we have been given is that God is in control...always. Please pray..."This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us - whatever we ask - we know that we have what we asked of Him." 1 John 5:14-15.

Thank you...we love and appreciate you!
